About Emily Kawashima Waters
Emily Kawashima Waters focuses her practice in the areas of trust and probate litigation, guardianship and conservatorship matters and personal injury.
Ms. Kawashima Waters graduated from Punahou School, attended Smith College in Massachusetts then transferred to the University of California at Berkeley where she received her undergraduate degree. She then returned home to attend the William S. Richardson School of Law where she was a University of Hawai'i Law Review author and Managing Editor. After receiving her law degree, she was a law clerk for United States District Judge Samuel P. King for four years. She then served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu under Peter Carlisle before transitioning into the private practice litigation sector.
- She has tried over 25 jury trials to verdict and has
handled countless bench trials
-She has over 15 years of litigation experience in both
the State and Federal courts of Hawaii and is also licensed in California
-She prides herself in assisting clients to reach the best resolution
